Thank God for My Mom

So lately I have been having a tough time with something and as always, my wonderful Mom has been that voice I knew I had in my head.  She helped me decide what to do, even though I really had the answer, I just wanted her reassurance.  Thank's Mom...I love you so much!!

Fabulous Fall!

Fall is my absolute favorite season, so much beauty to take in, warm days, cool nights...hayrides, pumpkins, football, first fire in our fireplace for the season...... Love it!!

Flea Market Fun and Finds

I was happy to come across these finds this morning at the Chesterland Historical Society's annual Flea Market at the Historical Village.  One of my obsessions is finding and collecting unique looking old Ball glass canning jars.  I can't get enough of them. I also came across this vintage Brownie camera (for display) and these cool old antique skeleton keys.  My newest brainstorm is to make key necklaces using these old skeleton keys.  We'll see how long this lasts...lol!  Jim even found a Kromex canister (his obsession).  Happy Saturday everyone! :)

Senior Session with Nicolina - Sneak Peek

I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing this lovely lady, Nicolina, for her senior pictures recently.  Her Mom and I have been friends since High School and I am happy to say that after many many years, I have gotten into touch once again with my friends from school.  I never realized how much I missed them.  As with most of us, we get caught up in the day to day goings on, but I think we all need to remember how important our close friends really are.

She dropped the phone and burst into tears

The doctor just confirmed her fears

Her husband held it in and held her tight

Cancer don’t discriminate or care if you’re just 38

With three kids who need you in their lives

She made it through the surgery fine

They said they caught it just in time

But they had to take more than they planned

Now it's forced smiles and baggy shirts

To hide what the cancer took from her

But she just wants to feel like a woman again

She said, "I don't think I can do this anymore"

He took her in his arms and said "That's what my love is for"
